"Evil is when the good do nothing"

I wrapped up warm this winter, too keep out the cold
Warm scarfs wrapped around my neck
A coat wrapped round my body
Lots of warm socks for my feet
And high topped boots to keep out the snow

But all these warm clothes
Could not warm my heart
So forever, this winter
I was cold

No matter how many layers I wore
I was still somehow cold
For with a cold heart
The body can never find warmth

The warm clothes were heavy against me
I felt trapped within the layers
The layers that could not warm me

So one day
When the snow fell heavy on the ground
I pulled off the heavy clothes that could not warm me
And let the snow touch my skin

I looked up into the darkening sky
As the snow covered me
My heart was suddenly as light as the fluttering snow
In the cold I was free
Now my cold heart was gone
I could finally find warmth

I wanted to write a poem about winter, but not about Christmas!

They say that good things take time, but really great things happen in the blink of an eye

I thought (especially in the beginning) it was repetitive, but other than that it was very descriptive and nice.
