She's so Gone
standing at the side of her bed
 holding her hand as she breathes
 softly and slowly
 until she doesn't breath at all
 and lets me break into tears
 gripping her hand tighter
 then kiss her goodbye
 on her cold pale cheek
 slowly wipe the tears from my face
 then walk away
 the pain keeps piercing my heart
 when I look at her
 the thought that I
 let her slip away
 made me want to believe that I was the worst daughter
 on earth but also the thought of how she and I would meet again be together once more on earth
