The Two-Month Anniversary of my Vegetarianism
Hamburgers are dancing
And singing.
It’s quite beautiful, actually.
I didn’t know dead cows could be
So beautiful.
I breathe in and out
I blink
There’s bacon.
The bacon and the hamburgers
Are holding hands.
They’re talking.
I didn’t know dead pigs could talk.
The bacon strips
Are sad.
I wonder why.
It turns out that they missed their friends,
The chicken fingers.
I didn’t know chicken had fingers.
Once those guys arrive,
The bacon perks right up.
It’s a party,
A meat party.
I look down.
I pick up my tofu.
