Dear midnight you taunt me
You eat me alive in star-shine.
With a perfect sense of darkness
Midnight be mine.

Dear midnight you haunt me
A whispering ghost, oh how you drone.
DO you know my nightmares?
Do you haunt my home?

Dear midnight come closer
Wrap me in your winter stars.
So much is unknown
But the unknown could be ours.

Dear midnight please linger
So I may know you longer.
How you come and go so fast
Midnight please stay, be stronger.

And Alas...

Dear midnight don't fear me
I am but one voice.
My words are but whispers
And to listen, is Midnight's choice.
