Love Over Time
She looks through a foggy window
Into the night.
White hair down her back
And wrinkles by her eyes.
She waits for her love
In an old rocking chair
Remembering life
As the last time she lived it;
Knowing that he will be,
Present again,
Looming in the shadows
Of her long-forgotten laughter.
He’s coming for her
Not knowing for a second.
Her love has arrived…
If only for a moment.
