Ode to Sunsets
The beautiful pink skies.
The breath-taking orange clouds
Sound off to the world
That night has come
The blood red sun
Touches the Earth
As gentle as a mother to her child
And as if an explosion
Bright beautiful colors
Emerge from the horizon
Brilliant blasts of pink
Orange and red
Invade the blue skies
The white clouds turn pink
In surrender
And as these bright colors fade
The black night emerges filled with stars
But those ten minutes of sunset
Bring warmth to peoples’ hearts
Before settling down for night
Ode to sunsets.
