English is not a language
whose sound speaks of its substance.
grand-fath-er
is a combination of hard, stony syllables
hovering high or too low;
akin to images of italian mobs
and an accented godfather.

But, Spanish.ish.sh..
has a tendency towards the phonetic.
Abuelo;
speaks of fall syrup.
Three consonants
forming the knots in a willow
a
-bue

-lo
a word more pronounced
for its echo.
