Shattered
Tears fall like soft rain,
A growing puddle at my feet.
A heart once happy and whole,
Now laying shattered on the floor.
Something so fragile and delicate,
Broken and gone in the blink of an eye.
I realize that my life will never be the same.
Once a heart is broken,
Not even duct tape can mend it.
Maybe the only thing left to do,
Is to learn how to love again.
