I Fell
I Fell
He and I glanced.
He saw someone he didn’t want to know.
I saw someone I didn’t want to get involved with.
He glanced, to get away from sadness.
I glanced for somewhere to belong.
He took my breath away.
I took a smile.
Then he and I became we.
We laughed and even sang.
We trusted and shared.
I stole a laugh.
He stole a kiss.
I thought it would last forever…
He left
I was alone
I waited
He never came.
And he never would…
He played his game.
I-I fell… hard
Now he glances with sorryness and want
I don’t even glance at all
I became someone new with a blocked heart so it won’t happen again.
For I fell...too hard
