The Tides of March
The water rushed onto the beach,
Toppling onto the pure sand and
Bursting into a magnificent array of radiance
As its true intentions became clear.

 When the mist dissipated,
 A putrid pungence persisted,
As the decaying carcasses of its victims
 Posthumously stormed the beach.

 The microscopic menace
 Precariously polluted the coast,
 Death augmenting death,
 As the treacherous plot uncoiled.

The creation of this vicious loop,
While justified as Poseidon’s wrath or nature’s calling,
Is the fruits of our labor and
Reminds us to beware the tides of March.
