Poison
Love cannot hide the poison we reap.
For in the late hours
While I am striking prose upon a page,
You are hunting.
Seeking another soul to steal,
Caught in your web of vampirism.
I file it away in the name of blind-sighted love,
But I can never deny your evil.
It lurks and crawls,
Tarnishing all it touches
And bathing it in blood.
We seek but rarely find
The type of synchronicity we share.
We are poisonous, but as like finds like
We will always revert to each other;
I in my fortress of spindling denial
And you in your spindling web of lies.
