Radiance
Looking up at the brilliance of my krylon sky,
A girl like me can’t help but wonder why.
Why when there is an infinity of such of serenity
Must you be locked in a ferocious battle?
Even as there is such loveliness to resemble
You quarrel with such intensity.
You ignore the exquisite tranquility of a peaceful sight,
Just to engage in yet another fight
You forget the pleasure in the luminescence of a heart,
Just so when it ends it can restart.
But I haven’t misremembered
No matter how subliminal your message is,
That awesome sight has sunk into my skin.
I wield a mighty, mighty weapon
My psychological desire for radiance.
