from the inside out
I'm shattering
into shards of glass

because I like you so much
so much that it hurts
and you're making me hope
that maybe there is such a thing
as love

but my heart says
tell you
and my brain says
it's not worth the risk
of destroying
our beautiful, fragile
friendship
