Radio Silence
And I’ve got radio silence
From here to the edge of town
I keep starring waiting for the thing to ring
Waiting for someone to take the time
And call out my name
Slamming my fingers against the table
I sit back, silently cursing
All those friends
With there smiling faces
Said we’d hangout
Tell each other’s secrets
Whisper desperate dreams and hopes
While sipping down lies
And I’ve got radio silence
From here to the edge of town
I keep starring waiting for the thing to ring
Waiting for someone to take the time
And call out my name
I take the keys and take the car
Driving in circles till my fingers unclench
Until the tears stop flowing
And my face resembles sanity
Heartbreak lines blast from the speakers
And I keep screaming in the backdoor
Roads around this stupid small town
And I’ve got radio silence
From here to the edge of town
I keep starring waiting for the thing to ring
Waiting for someone to take the time
And call out my name
Someone once told me,
You’ll go far
Keep your head high
And let those friends who won’t stay
Just let em’ go
They keep to the night, while you’ll just keep on shining
And I’ve got radio silence
From here to the edge of town
I keep starring waiting for the thing to ring
Waiting for someone to take the time
And call out my name
Would some one call out my name?
Make me feel like I’m wanted for
More than those little escapes into
Safe, secure supervised sleepovers
Will someone callout my name,
And pick me from me from my own self-pity
And I’ve got radio silence
From here to the edge of town
I keep starring waiting for the thing to ring
Waiting for someone to take the time
And call out my name
