With All of my Heart
I love you with all my heart, but you leave me not a drop
I used to be a bird
Perched on the branch of love, cradled by it, safe in your arms
But now I weep, alone in my cave of bittersweet memories.
My sweetly rancid flesh has been devoured by lime
My exposed bones bleached,
My teeth smashed,
Every indication of my personage erased.
Your love is good, but not enough
To rid me of this emptiness
In the hollow of my heart where you once sat
Wind blows, whistling, screeching, mourning.
I love you with all my heart, but you leave me not a drop
