A Dream of Reality
She sits under a large oak tree,
violent wind ripping at her flesh,
Gnawing its way into her core,
No stars are illuminated,
Nothing,
No one showing her the way,
Instead she is blinded by the night sky,
So quietly you could hear a pin drop, the night stands still,
She sits in a daze,
Too unaware to be afraid ,
But a scream of pure terror snaps the woman out of it,
Thrills and scares her,
Adrenaline pumps throughout her every sense,
And she is excited,
Her tongue sweeps over her scarlet lips only to realize they are covered in warm blood,
Her hands release their grip only to realize they let go of a teenage boy's limp, lifeless body,
She is too stunned to care,
Too amazed at herself,
Slowly but surely the reality seeps in,
what she is, what she has become,
And a slow smile spreads across her scarlet lips
