Year- Long Red
A simple red streak makes my tears stream, will this affect my dream?
I glance out my glossy eye, a friend mumbles "It's okay," but it's NOT! I plead; can't this just be a bad dream?
Another intensive class makes the stares turn to glass, I just want this to pass.
The dream of success, the dream of pride, the dream to unleash what's been locked inside.
Hope, now plunged into my mind, oh please, just this time! I receive
my paper...
The papers are out; my heart is cold from the grade in bold.
Then I'm remembered I have so much more ahead than that one grade in RED.
