Another time, another life,
another prayer, another fight
Another day, another night,
just wondering when I can finally take flight
I’ve always felt so closed off
A bird trapped in a cage
I feel like I am lying to myself
And now I need to turn a page
I need to fly like I have never taken flight
I need to soar above all who said I would never be right
I need to find a way to forget who I was yesterday
Finally now I see
I needed to find wings
