The Forbidden Kingdom
Into my kingdom you've walked into
It was fate, for what else could it have been?
Surely not me… perhaps you?
All right I will spare you the confusion.
I'll tell you that it was of course me.
Welcome to my world of the shadows,
The prince of darkness is who I may be.
Nothing may pierce me, not even arrows.
But only one thing, my only weakness:
Jenny Thornton, she, whom I love.
I am evil, a shadow—corrupted by darkness.
She is innocent and light—just like a dove.
I gift I may give her, a chance at freedom—
Freedom from me. If she plays my game
Along with her friends to join and come
And if any do not make it, no one to blame,
But themselves. For fear is the real challenge.
She and they must conquer their fear
Such as chaos and revenge,
Or simple animations or what's actually here,
Reality and Imagination,
Confinement and insanity.
From Jenny in my game of recreation,
I found my inner bit of humanity.
My brothers had told me I was different,
And I knew it was all because of her,
With no one's consent
Again I had fallen all over
As she helped me discover
My humanity and I realized
"I am my own master"
Ending with my own demise.
For her it was all worth it in the end.
And nothing really dies as long as it's not forgotten.
