I Would Give Anything
To see her smile,
To hear her thoughtful words,
To spend a day listening
to her wonderfully told stories
about her adventurous life.
I would give anything.
To tell her about all of the wonderful things that have happened
since shes been gone,
To show her who I have become and what I have achieved,
although I have a feeling that she already knows.
I would still give anything.
To tell her about that double play,
and about 7th grade,
and about our vacation in Mexico.
To show her my rabbit,
and all of the stories I have written,
I would give anything.
I sometimes think how much easier it would be
to have you here with me,
But I know this isn't possible.
I just want you to know
how much I miss you, Grandma!
