Flame
Growing upward into the night.
Living and dying forever.
Waxed petals of spring delight,
But a sharp ferocity lurks in their endeavor
Outstretched, they desire more.
Unsatisfied with their hand, they beg the Lord
For a renewal, or an old to restore,
But their greed will be ignored
Shadows flash in a secret code.
Their short lives end with the night.
They bravely travel the unpaved road.
Evil comes not with darkness, just as does not always follow light.
