Rainbows & Apologies
mistakes are made, and
there's nothing to say
but apologies that go unheard,
as shame burns unchecked.
new sparks set my soul alight
with the hope that with each passing day
I can be less ignorant.
there's nothing to do
but hold my tongue
('til I figure out
what it's actually saying.)
there's nothing to do but embrace the world,
sink my teeth into delicious diversities.
throw myself into the colors of the rainbows
and come out of it all as speckled and tie-dyed
as I can be.
as I should be.
as I will be.
mistakes are made,
and there is one thing to say:
I am sorry.
I was unfair,
and unaware of all the colors in the rainbows.
