Sailing into the unknown
A ship captain looks out over the vast ocean sailing into the unknown
His vessel tiny, nothing like he used to command, but that didn't matter now
He wondered how long it would take to get there, but he had no companions to tell him about the journey
His family gathered at the shore, weeping, but the mist was so heavy he soon lost sight of them
Know that he could not turn back was scary, leaving behind a life that he loved
The came up so suddenly that he had no time to say goodbye, no time to redeem himself
But he could not stay in the mist so he pushed forward with a renewed strength
His mind cleared and he was no longer scared, he knew he was going to be alright
A break in the clouds showed a bright light and he steered towards it
Coming out from the mist he was enveloped in a warm hug and he knew he was there.
