The Girl
The girl exists in pen marks.
Eyes like the oceans of Alcatraz,
Like music notes,
Dripping one by one
Into a jar full of ladybugs.
An encasement of luck.
The girl exists in cracks in the sidewalk
In drives through the rain
With clouds of sound around her head
Strike up your matches
Smoke fills her ear canals
Ride through the channels
In a boat made from a shard of glass
The girl exists in invisible red strings
When she shifts it sets the world in motion
She melts in space shells
The girl exists in concert tickets,
In mirror images, in the twists of a cats’ tail
