Snow Flake
Where there was hardly a sound
was a house on a mound
Surrounded with snow
and windows lit with a warm glow
There lived a boy
plain, but full of joy
One day he said to his brother and mother,
"I want to be different, like my classmates," he said with a sigh
"What do you mean?" she replied
"Sammy knows karate
Keith can eat 20 pieces of salami
Tommy is the master of tag
and Macy even designs her own bags
Taylor with 10 pieces of gum can blow a huge bubble!
Alexander can build a model space shuttle
Karen knows the most bad words
John even owns a real sword!
But with me...there's nothing that stands out
I'm as boring as a trout"
He looked out into the window
"I'm just like snow
One spec looks just like the other
No new traits to uncover nor discover"
"Oh no, no, no! You are different just like snow!
Would you like to know?
My dear, you are just like a snowflake
because each has one has its unique shape"
