Three, Two, One
Three times,
In one day,
A sneeze of birds flew out a tree.
Two times,
In one day,
The blue birds circle around the tree,
Then swiftly fly back in.
A breeze did not haunt the field,
Nor was there any force to draw the birds in.
Nothing shook the birds
Out of their home,
But a blubbering laugh
Would escape my throat.
My hands would find their way together,
Create a rupture of loud claps.
My voice would carry out,
With joy,
As I watched the tree impatiently,
Calling out, “Again,
And again,
And again!”
