The other day I realized
That next year you will be leaving.
You will go to college
And I will be left here.

The other day I realized
That soon you will be an adult.
You will be voting,
And I stuck only writing.

The other day I realized
That I will leave soon after.
I will begin my life,
And take on the real world.

This poem was inspired by the thoughts and feelings I had the other day about my older brother and I growing up.
