Then.
She told me that if I lie
on my back and I close my eyes
and I just breath. And I just lie there,
letting my body sink into the floor. If
I just feel it heavy. Feel those places where
my body rejects the floor; between my heel
and my calf, the curvature at the bottom of my spine and
where my neck reaches for my head.
If I just lie there.
And I just feel the ground
and I let it hold me.
I must remember that
I can always come back to
this place where it’s just
me and the ground.
“No matter what,” she said.
