Where is My Friend
Can you help me find my friend?
I've been chasing to where the sidewalk ends.
She used to be so strong and sweet
She had naked, pink dancing feet.
We went camping in the woods,
Did things kids should.
We used to chase blind cars
But we never got too far
Because 16 found her one day
And now those naked feet have high heel shoes, they say.
She sleeps in unfamiliar rooms
Wears their favorite perfume
Dressed in uncomfortable lace
Just for a taste
Of an ecstasy that dies so fast
Two minutes of bliss forever in the past
Why did summer die?
Why must the stuffed animals hide?
Help me find my friend
So I can put her to an end
