Those Three Little Words
I want to hold you close in my arms and never let go.
All the time we’ve lost, gathered together like a perfect little bow.
I enjoy all the time we spend together, but I hate and dread all the time we spend apart.
When I am missing you, it pulls at the strings of my heart.
I have a fear of saying those three little words,
Because I am afraid they will flee like scared birds.
Those three words can hurt one’s soul,
Or they can collect it all in a bowl,
Then throw all of it way,
All cast into a single lonely bay.
I had fear of saying those three little words,
Because I was afraid they would flee like scared birds.
But now that I’m not afraid of my world turning blue,
I just want to say this: I love you.
