Febraury Air
February air; chilling winds
Turns chattering teeth to ice,
A warm heart cold,
A cold soul colder.
February air lingers deep within the earth,
In between dirt and grass, flowers and birds.
All throughout, February heard.
Rivers, creeks, lakes, and oceans
Flowing water frozen.
Mammals trapped inside,
Peering into the ice,
Seeing a mysterious, new life.
Different yet we’re consumed with the same
February air.
