The Flower of Love
True love is like a flower, blooming bright!
Growing ever nourished in the sun's light.
Stem so strong, struggling against the wind.
Love struggles against hate and evil sin.
But yet someone may break that heart one night.
Love becomes great sorrow, quite common now.
Emotions are turned, like dirt by a plow.
Petals turn black and shrivel right on up,
Evaporating liquid in a cup.
Sorrowfully the flower's head now bows.
