Cinderella
The night you said I looked beautiful,
I didn't believe you.
I am not the pretty sister,
I don't have the blond hair,
I am not that thin.
Military cut,
Short,
I have zits.
No, I was never the pretty sister,
No, I don't feel good enough for you,
No, I will never think that I deserve you.
But when I am in your arms,
I feel cherished,
When you smile at me,
I glow inside.
When you give me your jacket,
Even when you will be cold,
I feel like Cinderella.
Cinderella,
The princess for one night,
So afraid of midnight when it will all end.
I don't know how to tell you,
Afraid of it being taken from me,
That I was never the pretty one,
But I want to be your Cinderella.
