On My History Teacher Telling Us to Analyze Alexander the Great.
But you can't simply
 break Alexander into parts
 People aren't that simple
 We are not subcategories
 or sections
 We are amber explosions,
 hushed laughter under the stars,
the last sharp intake of breath
 before being submerged,
 the flickering moments
 before a firefly dies,
 salt from tears and
 hidden sorrows.
 We are many things,
but the one thing we're not
 is ourselves.
