RED TEARS AND BLACK ROSES
Black roses reaching for the sky
Bathing in midnights lights
Curving dark thorns
Liquid dripping off their tips
Splashing against the ground
Red drops falling in rhythm
Drumming the beat to a Devils tune
Treadles wrapped around in a loving embrace
Flowers open as wide as eyes
Watching and waiting like a silent witness
Thorns pricing skin as if to hold her tight
A lover’s embrace of flowers and thorns
Thorny treadles bind her in place
Panic makes her breath fast and blood cold
Footsteps make her whimper and whine
Breath brushes her neck
A treadle wraps around her throat
Thorns bite like a lovers bite
The rhythm increases, the beat faster
As the devils beat runs faster and faster
Till the roses turn red with in the hour
With their thorns red tears
Till midnights last hour
