The Suicide King

The perfect fairy tale king is always the protagonist.
He is good, caring, compassionate and noble,
Making the right decisions for his people,
Selfless.
Then reality hits.
The everyday king charges into battle,
Leading with his right-handed sword,
The guardian, the protector,
Sacrificing everything he has for the common good.
He forgets his own needs, his own wants,
And for the betterment of others,
With his left hand, drives a knife into his own head.
