At a Crossroads
I cannot stand what I did,
Letting you go when I should have
Resolved things
I let you go like you did me,
Leaving questions unanswered,
Leaving problems unresolved
Like my folks and siblings.
What if we went back
To the old days,
Taking the train on the same day,
Remembering how our lives were
Before experiencing a love triangle?
What if I moved on,
Wondering “what if?”
I’m at a crossroads,
Waiting for the train to pass,
Hoping to run for it
And catch it in time
For once.
