Nazca Lines
Her face
Was the Nazca desert
Full of lines
Etched mysteriously across her forehead
Drawn by people long dead
And gone from this world
I visualized
Her cheeks
Like they must have been at the beginning
Clean and new and fresh
Full of possibilities
Now they are lined
With wrinkles of time and age
No space
Remains
Untouched
Regret and worry and suffering
Words of pain scrawled across her by the hand of Life
The pen slowly running
Out of ink.
