Where is the brother I had known in my
Childhood?
The boy I used to spend my days
With.
All the memories of planning experiments
Of our daily adventures to the vast unknown
Of building forts in our shared bedroom
Where the impenetrable walls were made of
Sheets and the enemies were
Our stuffed animals.
Of the many hours of playing video and
Board games
Of sharing silly inside jokes
Of bearing the same pain and burden.
Where has my best friend of the past
Gone?
Instead, who is this stranger that stands in his place?
