Do you notice the agony draped across my face?
There’s pain in every crevice.
Do you watch my corners turn when I am hurt?
It’s heavy enough to bring me down.
My head droops lower and lower each day,
Do you care?
Do you remember my genuine, authentic smile?
She hasn't come out to play in a while, has she?
Do you remember my joy-filled laugh?
She’s too embarrassed to say hello.
Remember that bond?
You’re my best friend?
Where has she run off to?
