The Pain Goes On
He sits across the room,
 His eyes stare at me,
 The most perfect crystal blue,
I see everything I’ve ever wanted.

I feel pain in my chest,
But if he’s what I want,
Were does this pain come from,
 Why won’t it subside.

 I’ve felt it before,
 I recognize it,
It’s the pain of being afraid,
 Afraid of losing him.

He wraps his arms tightly around me,
The only place I feel at ease,
 Safe from any harm,
But still deep in my chest.

 The pain goes on.
