are you really?
I know you
Gave me birth
But who are you?
Are you really my mother?
I was raised
By my grandmother
She taught me
What i needed to kno
By my friends
They taught me
What my grandmother could not
And by myself
I set boundaries
I checked and corrected
My actions,
My movements,
My way of thinking
When did you step in?
Not what you claimed
To be proud of
Or claimed to be
Because of you doing
But what did you teach?
What did help?
You wasnt there
When i needed someone
My friends were there though
You didn't help my broken heart
I found the pieces on my own
Even the simple things
Tying my shoe
My grandmother taught me that
What did you do?
You were always there
But left nothing good
In my memory
Are you sure?
Are you really my mother?
