Fireworks
Behind closed eyes
And thoughts of
Love and lust
And other “L” words
That evoke
Beautiful feelings
And urges.
An urge for something more.
For something better
And something fulfilled.
A want for a life of
Terraces in Paris.
Making love
With Glenn Miller playing in the background.
Smoking cigarettes in bed
With a lover right beside you.
Holding you
Caressing you.
Laying in bed,
Revealing your entire soul
To no one in particular.
But revealing it so truthfully
And so openly
And purely
That everyone hears
And everyone knows.
