I wasn’t sure,
Not until that night
When I stepped up in front of you.
The very action of it
Was so normal
And so natural
That I couldn’t help
But notice your eyes
Or your smile
Or the way
You made my
Stupid, stupid
Butterflies act up for the first time in years.
