Lonely

There's a girl who sits quietly
her tears falling silently
to a melody only played in her heart.
She stares longingly at the stars
dreaming of a place way out far
because that's where her heart truly is.
She hopes and she prays
that the pain will finally fade
so things can return to what they were.
But-
Every night she still returns
to the place her cries are burned
as the moon slowly crosses
the lonely sky.
