What Could Be
Ring the bells
 The bells of freedom
 For they represent the celebration
 Into the church they come
 Stilletto heels and lipstick
 Fussy ties and sweat
 Light footed children run
 Gathering around
 For the grand celebration

 Two white dresses
 Four teared eyes
 Twenty fingers intertwined
 Songs of promise
 Silver loops of eternity
 Before them all
 Before the One

 Oh, how my heart yearns
 For the universes to aline
Heaven and earth joined at last
 Through the bonds of equality
 And peace

When I wake in the darkness
 Locked in my cell
 Alone
 I cry
 Not tears of sadness
 Or loneliness
 But of grief
 For what could be
 If love prevailed

 She's beautiful, you know
 Joyous and light and akward
 Can you imagine her
 With the long dark vail
 Soul shone through chestnut
 A playful smile
 With no idea
