Life Cycle
The sunlight pours through the leaves
Each leaf basking in its warmth
The morning dew collects in shining pools
The branches swaying confidently in the wind
Soon flowers will come out
But not all things can last
Leaves fall
Dew dries
Branches crunch
Flowers wilt
Falling to the earth to decay
To be absorbed
Storms pass
Lightning strikes
Winds rattle branches
Branches fall
Those young and old collapse
Lying next to their brothers
Yet not all hope is lost
A new sapling peeks out from its decaying father
Exploring the new world
Racing toward the bright sun
Its sons will have a strong start
A sturdy foundation
For them to rise above those fallen
