from the water rises a shimmer of brightness
that penetrates the fading blue dark
up, up it goes, buttercup and coral blend
as oranges morph into grapefruit
which go pomegranate and crimson
brilliance blinds me with an angelic warmth
it hugs me, with a lingering something
i drench myself in the majesty
of the rising sun.
