Hopes and Dreams, Faith and Heartbreak

A field of dreams burns on,
And adding fuel to the fire
Does nothing but make it climb
Higher, so it will climb higher
A tower of hope does crumble
Watch it fall, watch it tumble
From the peak to its foundation,
Collapsing in a shaking sensation.
A bridge of faith splits in two,
Cracked straight down its middle
A splash, a scream of agony rings
Fate of the fallen but a riddle
This broken city will collapse,
People of the same relapse
Into the ways that destroy them quickly
This is how the heartbreak’ll hit me
