the artificiality of time
May 8, 2013
just last week it was august
but the minutes felt like may
every second that passed
was the dripping ice-cream of june
and the street was littered with
leaves of autumn-
as i turn around to call you
i find myself in february
while others are still living in september, october, november even
relying on the invention of time
to guide their lives
